This focused program guides students step-by-step through crafting a compelling Common App personal statement, scholarship essay, and/or series of supplemental essays. Does you student have a unique need like dyslexia, a desire to study outside of the USA, a broken wrist or a crazy schedule? I've seen it all, and am here to help.
Students can work with me in person or via Google Meet. $150/hour
An experienced reader takes a fresh look at the completed essay to catch grammar mistakes, improve flow, and make sure your message lands with someone who doesn't know you. Includes one comprehensive reading and editing session with detailed feedback delivered in a Google Doc.
This work is completed via Google Docs and is remote. $100 flat rate
Students can work with me to research and develop a list of schools that will be the right fit. We can fill in the Common App together, draft emails and thank you notes for letters of recommendation, schedule campus tours, or demonstrate continued interest after being placed on a wait list.

Dr. Monica Marino offers the support you need to write your Common App and supplemental essays. As founder and lead coach of Marino Education, she believes in firm deadlines, clear feedback, and a touch of humor to help teens craft essays that highlight their strengths.

Monica holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Boston University, a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Lesley University, and an EdD from the University of Bath. With over 25 years of experience in education, Monica has worked as a literacy coach, college prep tutor, essay specialist, executive function coach, and veteran classroom teacher.
